Quick Start
Sign up, connect your calendar, and create your first booking link — about 5 minutes total
Quick Start
This is the fastest path from "I just signed up" to "people can book meetings with me." Plan on about 5 minutes.
Step 1: Create your account
- Go to app.aura-app.ai and click Sign Up.
- Sign up with Google, Microsoft, or your email. We'll remember which one you picked so we can connect your calendar later.
- Confirm your phone number with the code we text you.
- Type in your business name and your role.
That's it for signup. If you were invited by someone on a team, your invitation link does this whole step for you and drops you straight into the team.
Step 2: Pick a plan
After signup we'll ask you to pick a plan. Aura is paid software — there's no free tier — so this step happens before anything else. If you're not sure, start a trial; you can change plans later.
Step 3: Connect your calendar
Once you've picked a plan, you'll land on the onboarding screen. This is where you tell Aura which calendar to read.
- Google? Click Connect Google, sign in, and approve the permissions. We set Google Meet as your default video conferencing.
- Microsoft? Click Connect Microsoft, sign in, and approve. If it's a work account, Teams becomes your default. If it's a personal account (
@outlook.com,@hotmail.com), Teams won't be available — connect Zoom instead. - Want Zoom? It's on the same screen. Connect it if you'd rather use Zoom than Meet/Teams.
One important thing: every member of your team has to connect their own calendar. Admins can't do it for the team — each person has to log in and go through this step themselves before they can host calls.
For the full walkthrough, see Connect Calendar.
Step 4: Create your first booking link
You're in. Time to make a link you can share.
- Click Scheduler in the sidebar.
- Click Create Booking Link.
- Fill in the basics:
- Name — what you call it internally (e.g. "30-min Discovery"). Not shown to the people booking.
- Duration — how long the meeting should be (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes).
- Slug — a label for you to find the link in your dashboard. It doesn't appear in the public URL.
- Pick your hours (defaults to Mon-Fri 9-to-5).
- Click Create.
When you save, we show you a share modal with the actual public URL — something like:
https://app.aura-app.ai/b/aB3kL9mNxPq7That random string at the end is your unique link. It's the URL you share — your name and slug don't appear in it. Anyone with this URL can see your availability and book.
For deeper configuration (custom questions, disqualification rules, embedding), see Create Booking Link.
Step 5: Share your link
Paste it anywhere:
Email signature:
📅 Book a call → https://app.aura-app.ai/b/aB3kL9mNxPq7On your website (iframe embed):
<iframe
src="https://app.aura-app.ai/b/aB3kL9mNxPq7"
width="100%"
height="700"
frameborder="0"
></iframe>You can also generate a QR code from the share modal for events or print materials.
For more embed options, see Embedding.
Step 6: What happens when someone books
When someone fills out your form and books a slot:
- They get a confirmation email and a calendar invite with the video conference link.
- You get an email, a calendar event with our Notetaker invited, a new lead in your pipeline, and a scheduled call.
- We record everything — UTM tags, where they came from, what they typed — so you can see what's working in analytics later.
That's it. You're live.
What to do next
- Customize your availability
- Add custom questions (collect info before the call)
- Set up disqualification rules (filter out bad fits)
- Invite your team
- Explore your pipeline
Troubleshooting
"I'm stuck at the billing screen." That's the plan picker. You need to pick a plan (or start a trial) before you can use the app.
"I'm stuck at the onboarding screen and I'm the admin." You still need to personally connect your own calendar — admins don't get a free pass on this. Every individual member has to do it for themselves.
"My booking link returns a 404."
Make sure you're sharing the URL from the share modal (the one with /b/ and a random string), not the slug you typed when creating it.
"Nobody's available times are showing up." Open the booking link's availability settings and check that there's at least one open slot in your configured hours.
