Connect Google Calendar to sync your availability and automatically generate Google Meet links for your bookings.

What You Get

Setting Up

Step 1: Start Connection

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations
  2. Find Google Calendar
  3. Click Connect

Step 2: Sign In

  1. Google sign-in page opens
  2. Select your Google account
  3. Use your work account if applicable

Step 3: Grant Permissions

Google will request these permissions:

Click Allow to grant permissions.

Step 4: Confirm Connection

You'll see:

  • ✅ Google Calendar connected
  • Your calendar name
  • Default conferencing: Google Meet

Google Meet Integration

When someone books with you:

  1. Calendar event created
  2. Google Meet link auto-generated
  3. Link included in:
    • Calendar invite
    • Confirmation email
    • Call details in Aura

No Additional Setup

Google Meet is automatically configured:

  • No separate Meet integration needed
  • Uses your Google account's Meet
  • Supports all Meet features

  • Screen sharing
  • Recording (if enabled in Google)
  • Chat
  • Live captions

Multiple Calendars

If you have multiple Google calendars:

  • Primary calendar: Always synced
  • Secondary calendars: Can be included
  • Configure in Settings

Managing the Connection

View Status

Go to SettingsIntegrations:

  • Connection status
  • Account connected
  • Last sync time

Reconnect

If connection issues occur:

  1. Click Disconnect
  2. Click Connect again
  3. Re-authorize

Disconnect

To remove the integration:

  1. Settings → Integrations
  2. Find Google Calendar
  3. Click Disconnect

Disconnecting doesn't delete past calendar events, but new bookings won't create events.


Troubleshooting

"Calendar not syncing"

  1. Check you're signed into correct account
  2. Verify permissions weren't revoked
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting

"No available times showing"

  1. Check your Aura availability is set
  2. Verify calendar isn't blocking all slots
  3. Check advance notice settings
  1. Verify Google Meet is enabled for your account
  2. Check organization Google Workspace settings
  3. Try regenerating the meeting

"Wrong calendar selected"

  1. Disconnect from Aura
  2. In Google, revoke Aura access
  3. Reconnect and select correct account

Best Practices

Calendar Hygiene

  • Mark personal events as Free to not block availability
  • Keep calendar updated for accurate sync
  • Use consistent timezone settings

For Teams

  • Each team member connects their own calendar
  • Round-robin respects individual availability
  • Ensure all members are synced

Privacy & Security

What Aura Sees

  • Event times (start/end)
  • Busy/free status
  • Calendar ID

What Aura Doesn't See

  • Event titles (unless you share)
  • Event descriptions
  • Attendee lists
  • Attachments

Revoking Access

To fully remove access:

  1. Disconnect in Aura
  2. Go to Google Account → Security
  3. Third-party apps → Remove Aura
