Billing
See your plan, manage your subscription, update your card — all the money stuff
Billing
The Billing page shows your plan, your seat count, and your payment status. Only Owners can see it — Admins and Members don't have access.
For anything that involves changing payment details, downloading invoices, or canceling, we hand you off to the Stripe Customer Portal. (Stripe is our payment processor.) That's where the actual changes happen.
What you can see in Aura
The Billing page shows you, at a glance:
| What | Example |
|---|---|
| Your plan | "Aura Pro", "Aura Team", etc. |
| Status | Active, in trial, past due, or canceled |
| Seats | How many active team members you're paying for |
| Billing cycle | Monthly or yearly, plus when the next renewal is |
| Trial countdown | If you're in a free trial, how many days are left |
| Payment problems | If a charge failed, you'll see an alert here |
Everything on this page is read-only inside Aura. To change anything, click the button.
Manage Billing
Click Manage Billing and we send you to Stripe's secure customer portal. From there you can:
- Update your card or payment method
- Download invoices
- Switch between monthly and yearly billing
- Cancel your subscription
When you're done, you come back to Aura. We sync the changes automatically — you don't need to refresh anything.
Adding or removing team members
When you invite or remove someone in Teams, we update your seat count in Stripe behind the scenes. You don't have to do anything manually.
The cost depends on your plan:
- Yearly plans — your base subscription is paid annually. If you add seats mid-cycle, those extra seats bill monthly until your renewal date, when everything lines up again.
- Monthly plans — base subscription and any extra seats all bill on the same monthly cycle.
The exact per-seat price for your plan is shown when you pick or change plans at /billing/subscribe.
"Why am I being asked to subscribe?"
Aura is paid software. Before you can use the dashboard, the scheduler, or analytics, you need an active plan (or a running trial). If your subscription lapses, we'll show you the subscribe page again until you sort it out.
If a payment fails:
- We show a banner on the Billing page with a link to update your card.
- Stripe also emails the Owner with the same link.
- After three failed attempts, your account goes "past due." You can still see existing data, but you can't create new bookings until billing is sorted.
Updating your card in the Customer Portal and retrying the invoice fixes it.
