Connections
Manage your personal calendar, Zoom, and other connected accounts
Connections
The Connections page is where you manage everything that's specifically yours — your calendar, your Zoom, your platform logins. This is different from Integrations (which is org-wide things like Stripe and ad-tracking pixels).
Every member of your team has their own Connections page. Your admin can't connect your calendar for you, and you can't connect anyone else's.
What lives here
Your calendar
This is the most important one. Aura needs to read your calendar to know when you're free and write to it when someone books a meeting.
You connected your calendar during onboarding, but you might need to revisit it here to:
- Reconnect if your link has expired (this happens sometimes after password changes or long stretches away)
- Switch providers — from Google to Microsoft, or back
- Pick which calendars count as "busy" — useful if you keep a separate personal calendar that should also block your availability
Your Zoom account (optional)
If you'd rather use Zoom than Google Meet or Microsoft Teams for your meetings, connect Zoom here. It's optional — most people stick with whatever conferencing comes with their calendar.
Zoom is especially handy if you're on a personal Microsoft account (which doesn't include Teams).
Platform connections
If your business runs on Whop, Skool, or other platforms, you can connect them here. These are personal logins because the access is tied to your account on the other platform, not your whole team.
Picking which calendars block you
If you have multiple calendars under one Google or Microsoft account — a work calendar, a personal one, a project-specific one — only some should make you "busy."
Aura splits this into two settings:
- Booking calendar — the one Aura writes new meetings to. Pick one.
- Availability calendars — the ones Aura reads to figure out when you're free. You can pick several.
A common setup: write all bookings to your work calendar, but block availability if either your work or personal calendar has a conflict. That way you don't get a sales call double-booked over a doctor's appointment.
When you change which calendars count, Aura updates everything behind the scenes. You don't need to do anything else.
Per-person, not per-team
This trips people up sometimes:
Every team member has to connect their own calendar. Admins can't do it for the team. New hires won't have their bookings work until they personally visit
/onboardingor this page and connect.
This is intentional — it prevents the situation where one person's calendar was connected at some point in the past but they've since left, and nobody's bookings are landing on real calendars.
When your connection breaks
If Aura can't reach your calendar (password change, you revoked permissions on Google or Microsoft's side, or you've been away for a while), you'll see a "Reconnect required" banner on this page. Click Reconnect, redo the sign-in, and you're back.
No bookings or leads are lost when this happens — only the live sync is paused until you reconnect.
Switching from Google to Microsoft (or vice versa)
- Click Disconnect on your current provider.
- Click Connect on the new one.
Your existing bookings stay on your old calendar — Aura doesn't migrate them. Only new bookings will use the new provider.
What Aura can and can't see
We only read what we need to. Specifically:
| Aura sees | Aura doesn't see |
|---|---|
| Event times (start and end) | Event titles |
| Busy/free status | Event descriptions |
| Calendar ID | Attendees on your other meetings |
| Your timezone | Attachments |
If you revoke Aura's access from your Google or Microsoft account directly, we stop reading immediately.
